"Fall" into a good book!
Fall

Greetings! This past summer we were quite busy in both buildings and I'm excited about all that we have going on! The HVAC and lighting projects at our Main Street location are finished and again, I thank you all for your patience while we improved our building environment. Our next project is the magazine room on the first floor of the Main building. We expect that project to begin this fall.

During the summer, we were also busy at our Station Branch preparing the second floor for programs and new meeting spaces. Our new meeting rooms have been a welcome addition and allow us to offer more programs, community meetings and quiet space. We are continuing to reorganize the first floor. Teen Territory is being moved into a larger space and the children’s area is also being improved with new furniture and a play area!

I was pleased to see many patrons enjoying the library during our summer Sunday hours as well as take advantage of our new extended hours at the Station Branch.

Our newly formed Huntington Library Foundation is having a reception on November 13th to showcase some of the projects they have funded for the library. More information is provided in the hghlight box on this page.

I wish you all a Happy Autumn and hope you "fall" into a good book this season!

Happy Summer!
happy

Hello and happy summer to all! Thank you for your patience during the construction at our Main Street location. We are finishing up the basement HVAC units for the auditorium and meeting room. We anticipate being completely up and running by early summer. We are continuing to work on the first floor renovation in stages so as not to be too disruptive.

Our new space at the Station Branch is almost ready for use. We are presently waiting on furniture that has been ordered and expect that to arrive soon. We may move some programs upstairs during the summer and expect to be fully functional in the fall. Once we start to use the new space, we will be reorganizing the main floor!

As you may have heard, both buildings are going to be open on Sundays throughout the summer from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm and the Station Branch will now stay open until 9:00 pm on weekdays. We hope this helps to make visiting your library a little easier.

We are offering many fun and educational programs this summer as part of our summer reading club, Libraries Rock! I hope you will partake of them and enjoy all that your library has to offer!
