2017 Summer Reading Club: Build a Better World (Birth – Entering Grade 5)

Build it and they will come! Start Building a Better World by signing up for the reading club this summer and get your free tote to color and reuse throughout the year. Limited quantities available, so don’t wait! Complete 5 out of 20 tasks from different world building lists and earn a cool prize! Help build a Greener, Creative, Hi-Tech, Playful or Helpful world by choosing things you like to do already, or try something new. Activities may include reading (of course!), attending library programs, listening to audiobooks, creating craft projects, learning about online databases, donating food, reserving a pass and visiting a museum, and more. Tell us about your summer of building a better world at our “end of summer” party in August!

Are you interested in learning all about the wonderful world of acting? Then come join us in these joyful workshops that teach all the basic skills you need to perform on stage. We will play lots of theater games with silly names like, "Baby Shark," "Where," "Zip, Zap, Zop" and many more! Theater shores up self-esteem and builds confidence in all learners. This program, designed for the very young, will include fingerplays, lap bounces, and some easy books for you and your child to enjoy together. The second half of the program will be open play-time for kids, while parents/caregivers will have the chance to meet other parents/caregivers with children around the same age.   Registration required. Take children to the land of make believe where they pretend to be archeologists digging in sand, builders creating structures with blocks, or gardeners planting flowers.
