MyHPLMobile truly is a "library in your pocket..."

The Huntington Public Library is proud to announce MyHPLMobile for Apple iOS and Android devices. Our App allows our patrons and community to access library services anywhere, anytime. For example, your can:
  • Store and display a digital version of your library card on your mobile device.
  • Scan an ISBN and automatically search the library’s catalog to see if we own it - place a hold on the item.
  • Auto-log-in to search online databases and check your account.
  • Get notifications about your items on hold, fines, and when your card needs to be renewed.
  • Search the library catalog.
  • View the library calendar of events.
  • Get turn-by-turn directions to the library.
  • One-touch phone and/or email to the library.

Most Asked App Questions

Why can’t my information be authenticated?

Ensure that you are entering your barcode as it appears on your library card without any spaces. Make sure you are using your correct PIN. If you still have issues authenticating, please call Customer Services at ext 241.


Why can’t I download the app for my device?

The app runs on Apple iOS 6.0+ and Google Android 2.3+. Devices include:

  • iPad 2, 3, 4, Mini & Air
  • iPod Touch
  • iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5C, 5S
  • Over 5,500 Android Devices*

* Due to the nature of varying Android devices, not all of them may support the app. If you have a specific device you are using where you are not able to download and install the app, please contact us via the Problems Downloading e-Materials? form.


When I try to perform an action, occasionally the app quits to the main screen.

If the app is crashing on your device when trying to perform an action (search, menu view, etc), please contact us via the Problems Downloading e-Materials? form with your name, what device you are using, and the issue occurring.


I keep getting a “Data Error” message. What does this mean?

Data Error messages mean the app was unable to contact the server for more information. Please ensure you are connected to a WiFi hotspot or have 3G/4G cellular service when searching the catalog for items, events, or databases.
