The Huntington Public Library has been part of the Candid Community, a network of libraries, community foundations and other nonprofit resource centers around the world, for over 40 years.

We offer a variety of resources on fundraising, grants, and nonprofit management. As a Candid Community partner, we provide free onsite access at our Main Branch location to the Foundation Directory Online and GuideStar databases.

If you have questions or want to learn the basics of searching these databases, please contact Suzy Bloom at 631-427-5165, x 256 or email suzy_bloom@huntlib.org for an appointment or additional assistance.

Candid provides nonprofit and grant information with data on 1.9 million+ nonprofits and 304,000 grantmakers. Access this database to find funding and grants for your nonprofit or project. This research tool can also help you quickly find nonprofits where you can donate, volunteer, work, or seek services.

(In Library Use Only)

For one-on-one training to learn the basics of searching the Foundation Directory Online database, please contact Suzy Bloom at 631-427-5165 x 256 or suzy_bloom@huntlib.org to make an appointment.
